FUNDRAISING COURSESAll courses are 1 day in duration unless otherwise shown. SECURING GRANT AID FROM GOVERNMENT AND STATUTORY SOURCESOVERVIEWGovernment and statutory agencies are increasingly stressing their willingness to work with and financially support voluntary and community organisations in the pursuit of mutual aims. For example, in 2001 the level of Irish government central support to the Irish voluntary and community sector reached €1.5b.In addition, significant funding is made available through grants and contracts from statutory agencies involved in areas such as housing, arts, education and health. Securing grant and contract aid from these public sources requires a long-term strategy, careful research, the development of the right contacts and the ability to deliver good quality promised services. This one-day course will consider these and other areas within the context of available grant aid. Where possible, the course will include a ‘question and answer’ panel session involving senior managers from within the sector and / or statutory staff members who have experience in this field. WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM THIS COURSE ?Fundraisers and other managers involved in, or seeking to develop, contact with governmental and statutory agencies with a view to securing grant aid or project funding through contracts. The course would benefit managers involved in a ‘hands on’ capacity and those who manage them. TOPICS TO BE COVERED
