HOW DO TRAINING PEOPLE ‘IN HOUSE’ COURSES WORK?
All of the courses shown in this booklet are delivered on an ‘in
house’ basis. Unless otherwise indicated, courses generally last for
one day. However, all courses can be delivered in a shorter (generally half
day) or longer format (generally two days allowing maximum opportunity for
participation by those attending).
Organisations booking a Training People in house course are responsible
for the following:
- Contacting Training People to arrange a suitable date for the delivery
of one or more of the courses.
- All aspects of the marketing and publicity of the courses and the recruitment
of course participants - we ask organisations to set a minimum
of 6 and a maximum of 25 participants for each course in order
to maximise the learning experience.
- Organising a suitable training venue and ensuring the availability
of a data (‘PowerPoint’) projector and flip chart. If you
prefer, Training People can make venue and other arrangements for you
but this will involve the charging of‘
development’ time (see section 7 for details of costs).
- Catering arrangements (if required).
Training People undertake to:
- Discuss fully in advance the training needs of the group and, where
possible, adapt the training material to take into account
specific training needs. (Please note, however, that
the development of large amounts of specific training
may entail Training People charging for the development time required.
See How much do Training People courses
cost for indicative costs).
- Deliver the training on the day.
- Provide a full set of notes for all participants including a list of
useful ‘Further Resources’.
- Make available on the day a range of books, printed and other materials
illustrating ‘best practice’ within the training issue
under discussion.
- Be available during training breaks for one to one discussion.
In addition to the courses described in this document Training People
would be pleased to discuss with you the design and
delivery of training courses designed to meet any aspect of your organisation’s
fundraising, personal development or
general management needs.
